May 04, 2017 · Those saws have a pretty good reputation, and it's a very similar model to mine, G0690. I've said a million times that my Grizzly table saw is the one Grizzly tool I've had almost noplaints about...aside from the fence...easy fix. Make sure you take it for a thorough test drive, but I'd call that a pretty good price on a decent saw.

Jun 30, 2020 · Radial arm saws have pretty much been replaced by sliding miter saws for good reason. Many manufacturers quit making them years ago probably for safety issue. And for a good reason. With the exception of old iron and very expensive newer saws, the "consumer" saws are notorious for not holding settings and being underpowered.

Feb 04, 2011 · 14" Sash Saw: When I make this saw for dedicated crosscut work, I use a .02 thin plate. This is where the sawyer needs to exercise caution, because this saw has 3 5/8" usable depth under the back, and that is in my opinion the frontier of utility for this size of saw.

Answer (1 of 5): The Craftsman 10″ table saws from the 1960s (the ones with the cast iron tables) were made by Delta to be resold under the Craftsman label. They have the reputation of being very good for the home shop, but not up to the needs of amercial shop.
