I'm not particularly fussy about what cord I use, it's just that most modern cord is some sort of synthetic stuff that's very stretchy, but it's not totally elastic-stretchy, & doesn't. return to original length when released, so you find yourself winding more & more turns on to get it tight & pretty soon, it gets too stretched & breaks.

Jul 20, 2013 · Personally. I use a bow saw to make the same cut. You would with a band saw. I don't own a band saw. So that is my reasoning. And its enjoyable to do some things by hand. As far as blades go, there are a lot of of different styles to choose from. Check out gramercy tools. And tools for working wood.

I selected a piece of 8/4 straight grained hickory for the body and a stick of cocobolo for the handles. First up was epoxying the brass pins into the blanks for the handles.
